The people behind alienspeaking are innovators, and we think we have performed a number of world firsts. If anybody knows different drop us a line, as we have not heard of anyone else doing these things.

YouTube Re Mixed

Trik and ScoXXor thought it would be a good idea to mash up some video and vocals from YouTube:

Remote live sets

DMz drops his beats in Sydney, they are streamed on to ScoXXor in Canberra, who scratches to them, then from there his output is streamed to Farq also in Canberra, who also adds scratches and vox... Recorded by ScoXXor and then Farq, we have two different mixes of the same set... Anyone ever done that before? Recordings will be uploaded shortly.

Remote composition:

"Watch your back Ricky" is composed. This involves lyrics spawned over emails, DMZ dropping the lyrics on his PC microphone in Sydney, emailing to Trik who then composed it using some old school funk.

Remote live samples:

DMZ blogs the following about laying down some rhyme and sending it to aliens

Thursday nights being alienstream night, and after appearing in the flesh last week, I felt a bit alienated this week, so during the broadcast I dropped some originally composed (by Aliens DJ Farquar and Scotty T) rhymes (a.k.a rap) onto mp3, and sent them to the aliens, who worked them into the mix! Last week I was doing it live in person, this week I was a digital entity, a bitmap representation of myself. One way or the other, its great that technology allows us to easily achieve these sorts of things. I then tried to remotely operate one of the samplers, but alas it chewed up too much bandwidth, so we had to ditch that idea....
