Pardon..?

This is Alienspeaking. Unlike any other musical group on this planet, alienspeaking bring together technology and sound to do something entirely different.

alienspeaking combines our own produced beats with turntables, effects, live instruments, mixing and mashing. We stream original live music and DJ sets on the internet and into Second Life (www.secondlife.com). Our mission is to expose live Australian music to the world via internet streaming.

Our live gigs happen every Friday night at the Outer Rim Studios and are streamed on the Internet via our web site. We have been doing this for over 2 years now, and have streamed hundreds of hours of music live on the web and in Second Life.

We rehearse some of our live pieces that we want to keep hold of, but as far as the live sessions go, they change from week to week as we find and produce more sounds.

We've played a few live gigs out, and really have to do more but it's a pain lugging, so we make up for it with the streaming. We've had several abductees, usualy with instruments, and some of them were probed so heavily they became permanent members.

So each week, Farq, Zsigs, Sabs and Trik go mad at the hubbly-bubbly media hub deep in the outer rim of planet Kambaa. This is alienspeaking.

History:

2007
We enter Second Life
In 2007 we discovered a new way to get our music out to more people, we enter Second Life. We set up a permanent residence and start to play every Friday night gathering a new crowd like never before. DMz parts company as a permanent member to focus on other pursuits and joins us for the occasional abduction. OhMy Kidd who is a local mate joins us in the garage with his guitars for several probings. We play to hundreds of people pver the year and as it draws to a close we're working hard on some special guest abductions to top the year off. Farq and Trik both become fathers, Trik for the second time!

2006
Another alien
We played our first gig as four aliens outside of the studio, in another forest at another mountain bike race.  It is to be the last of the MTB race gigs, we then played at a great party here in Canberra to about 50 peeps.  Acquired Roland 303 and a 2nd Kaoss Pad.  DMz(Syd) joins as a permanent alien fixture, dropping sets of beats and breaks and rhymes and sending them to the remote location. We got a new website, and the streaming continues, who knows where from here…

2005
Abductees and Streaming
Some time in early 2005 we began to take abductees, the first being DJ Sabo. Other abductees were Diz and Danny, and Trikta. Sabo and Trik became permanent members and in July we started streaming. The stream puts out several gigabytes of data in 2005. Alienspeaking & members perform at EnduroFest 2005, another mountain bike race.

2004
Alienspeaking is born
The name alienspeaking started one very cold night in the Tallaganda State Forest, They were playing at a mountain bike racing event they had also organised. DJ KAOS was sleeping in his van after his set and woke to the sounds of Cuz Live, he said we sounded like we were talking to aliens. The beginnings of alienspeaking were spawned, Cuz was changed to alienspeaking. In November of 04, alienspeaking packed the A class to the hilt and heading off to another mountain bike race in Victoria, performing to a couple of punters in a rainy tent, scratching records whilst standing in mud.

2003
Cuz Live

Scotty and Farquar form Cuz Live, based on live impromptu sets combining Reason as a live beat with scratching vinyl and CD’s, heavily effected by a Kaoss pad2.
